Bubbling Waters

I sat watching the bubbling waters of my mind.
I felt their motion towards the sea of life
And was amused and distracted for a while.
How to stay quiet after such a busy day?
Like after rain, the streams were full.
So many ideas, reactions, memories.
I do find that peace at times
And I am sure I can never lose it.
But I do.
That's my experience, my sadness.

The Stream

The stream flows by,
And on it goes,
But why it does,
Nobody knows.

Is there a purpose,
In its motion?
Why does it want,
To reach the ocean?

Perhaps it has,
A tale to tell,
And might it speak,
To me as well?

I'll listen,
As it passes me,
And what I hear,
I'll tell to thee.
