 
BADS was formed in 1963 by a small group of local enthusiasts, rehearsing in their own clubhouse beside the old Village Hall. Since then, we have moved to the bungalow at the entrance to the new Village Hall car park. Rehearsals take place on Mondays and Wednesdays.

The society performs three times a year: February and May in the Village Hall and October at the Concordia Theatre, Hinckley. The types of play tackled range from straight drama to outrageous farce.
Although based in Broughton Astley, we accept members from all over the general area. Some of our members travel quite a distance to take part.
We hold informal committee meetings on a regular basis, during which we decide on plays to perform, activities to do and report on the latest productions.
