International Plastic Modellers Society (IPMS)

Leicestershire Branch

Purpose

A worldwide society, grown from UK roots, of people who build
plastic model kits as a hobby. Covering all model subjects,
e.g. Armour, Aircraft, Ships, Figures and Civilian Vehicles, etc.
and various scales from 1/144th to 1/24th scale.

Activity

The Leicestershire Branch has been running for 9 years and meets in the Committee
Room of Broughton Astley's Village Hall, Station Road. There is a mixed age group
of members in the Branch, with 17 fully paid up members and about 10 attending, on
average, at our meetings. In the past we have had competitions, trips out, demos by
members of the Branch and sometimes people have come in to give talks on model
related subjects.

Exhibition

We present some of our members' work here at Broughton Astley On-Line. The
models shown above were made by a fellow modeller, Alfred Stolfa, in Australia.

Next Meeting

The group meets on the third Monday of each month, from 7.30 p.m. until 10.00 p.m.

If you are interested in our activities, please come along to our next meeting or contact
the Branch Secretary. You may also visit the IPMS website.
