  The Main Chakras

The seven main chakras are numbered and named in the diagram. One is below the Sacrum bone and the others are above it. When the Kundalini in the Sacrum bone is awakened it rises. It does not move down to the first chakra.

Notes in a Musical Scale

Consider the simplest form of musical scale, with 8 notes forming an octave. For example, in C Major the notes will be C, D, E, F, G, A, B plus C repeated at twice the frequency of the initial C. Or for F Major the notes will be F, G, A, B flat, C, D, E plus F repeated.

To refer to the notes in their relative order, without reference to absolute pitch, the names DO, RE, MI, FA, SOL, LA, TI, DO are used in the west. So for C Major the DO is C and the SOL is G. For F major the DO is F and the SOL is C. In India there are similar names SA, RE, GA, MA, PA, DHA, NI, SA to represent the relative order.  move to next page
