 Youth Action Group
This group has been formed to promote the interests of young people within the Broughton area. We have support from local school and college staff, youth workers, voluntary groups, and the Harborough District Council (HDC). There is no clearly defined catchment area. So, although our base may be in Broughton Astley, our group and associated activities may attract young people from, say, Cosby, Dunton Bassett, Whetstone, Lutterworth or Enderby.
Transport is a key issue for us. We need more!
Sometimes little attention is given to the needs and opinions of the young. This group will provide a forum for views to be expressed and for real changes to be engineered within the community, which could benefit us all. We are not interested in forming a 'talking shop', just to moan about the absence of facilities such as skateboard ramps. Instead, we can promote initiatives and locate support, funds, agreements and really have some skateboard ramps. And other things...
We are listening...
